Nicknamed “Summer Suite,” this suite consists of a couple, short pieces depicting moments during summertime. The suite starts with a lively scene of children playing. It then moves onto a stormy night on the seas. The third piece portrays the experience of getting lost in one’s thoughts while standing in the summer heat - singing a tune that goes in several different directions. Of course, I couldn’t resist having another pizzicato movement (like the first suite). The fifth is about sitting outside, alone, on the porch, watching the sun fall below the horizon. The final piece is also about the sun, but with a brighter tone.
